At SEOptimise, we pride ourselves on our environmental credentials. Not only is all our stationery printed on recyled stock, we are proud to be a carbon-neutral company. We have invested in a number of projects to off-set our CO2 emissions.

We have contributed to three projects located in the Rhine and Ruhr valleys in Germany, a region with an extensive coal mining history dating back over 100 years. Methane, 21 times more potent than CO2 as a greenhouse gas, is escaping from abandoned coal mines in the area. Our contribution helps to capture the gas, generating emission reductions.

We have also made a contribution to a renewable energy project – the construction of a small-scale hydro facility in the south of India. The project harnesses the water flow in an existing irrigation canal and feeds electricity into the local grid. By providing renewable energy, the project helps to reduce India’s reliance on fossil fuels for electricity generation.
