AdWords adult ads & statistics bugs

Barry Schwartz yesterday reported on SearchEngineWatch about search bugs at Yahoo & Google.

The bugs, all noticed in the space of 24-hours, included adult AdWords ad’s being displayed on Google and Yahoo’s content networks, Yahoo’s contextual ad’s not displaying at all, Google’s site operator (e.g. site:www.seoptimise.com) showing site’s off of that domain and AdWords statistics showing incorrect data (as described below).

“The final bug I found today was that AdWords statistics mixing the Search & Content Network. So you are an advertiser, you set a campaign to only run on Google’s content network, but for some reason, your stats in AdWords shows impressions and clicks for that campaign in the search network. This bug is confirmed by Google but stated as a small tiny problem.”
