Techcrunch have reported that the Google blog tips have been pulled. This follows recent controversy about Google becoming evil after promoting their own products (Blogger and Google Calendar) above the normal search listings.
A Google search for blog no longer displays the tip, where before it was displayed for any query containing the word blog.
