Google PageRank update started

by Kevin Gibbons on April 29, 2007

The latest Google PageRank update looks like it’s currently underway. I’ve noticed a few websites which have seen increases, this blog being one of them going from PR4 to PR5.

There were rumours of buggy PageRank data last week but it doesn’t seem to be a false alarm this time as many datacenters are now showing updates, not just the Google toolbar.

Here is another example to show the increase of www.placesun.co.uk from a PR4 to PR5 on all datacenters.

I’ve read quite a lot about google page rank updates. How often do they occur throughout the year how does one find out when they take place and how deep will the searchengines go through your site. One article I read suggests google only does shallow indexing of sites then 2-3 times a year it will do a deep index of your site to look at the whole structure. Or have I got all the information mixed up.

I also seems the same effect on many websites. I don’t know what will be the updated google algorithm…!!
