I think the concept of Active SEO here is slightly different to what we are used to. The idea behind it should be to select a limited amount of keywords to rank under, and then produce lots of content centred around them. SEO is not like casting a net, the wider it is, the more diluted your results will be. Nice differentiation between passive and active seo .I think most of visitors now interested on blog that has a fresh content and new topics that’s why SEO tend to concentrate now for doing these.

Great points but im not sure many people will have the budget for 90% content but working on blogs that have quality articles published every few days the client saw 300-400% organic growth. As you pointed out in this post the articles were supported by link building and social media promotion.

Also a point often forgotten is to optimise article titles to get the best benefit.
