Twitter Friday: 20 Twitter Lists for the SEO Industry

Last week I wrote about Twitter lists for the first time, this week it already seems you can’t live without them anymore. There are so many Twitter lists out there by now that even a directory like Listorious can’t help you much finding the right ones.

There are hundreds for SEO alone already. So I decided to hand pick 20 Twitter lists for the SEO industry to follow for aspiring SEO & social media mavens or people who want to dive into the search marketing Twitter sphere.

I grouped the lists in several categories to give you a better overview:

  • comprehensive lists
  • localized lists
  • beyond SEO
  • subjective lists
  • special interest lists

Following a Twitter list does not mean that all of the people followed show up in your stream. As far as I can see it you only see them once you click on the list on Twitter.com or you view the lists dialog in Seesmic. You can follow a few Twitter lists without cluttering our stream.

I’d nevertheless advise you to follow only several of the above Twitter lists as they often cover the same people anyway (I show up on a 12 of them). So choose the lists wisely you follow where the spectrum of the SEO industry you need is covered best.

You want to pick the people you follow yourself? Try this list I’ve made earlier this year.
