I agree that social media is the newest technique, but I’m still not 100% sure of it’s ability to raise search rankings much. There just doesn’t seem to be much targeted linking, at least for keywords, in social networking. Twitter, for example, can’t link a keyword, it has to be text, followed by the link. There is not much there for search engines to work with, aside from maybe overall link weight. Your thoughts?

Regarding the link building techniques, I think there is no new… All those basic techniques are still considered the most effective techniques. As far as I know, the use of social media is the latest technique so far.

I hate flash and everything to do with it… so I am in agreement with you about removing flash videos in order to improve page load times. If Flash isn’t good enough for Steve Jobs and Apple then it ain’t for me either!
