I have been known to sleep talk SEO… ;D
Luckily, my other half works in the same industry otherwise that could be quite confusing, and embarrassing! Oh, and neither of us could ever go on holiday without at least a few checks, but at least we are in the internet cafe together and not going to ‘buy an ice cream’ ;)

  2. Elaine Forth says:

At my grand daughters christening, I was engrossed in figuring out the main keywords for Genesis 1 (the Bible), that I nearly missed the main action at the font!!
    - I figured it was ‘light’ – but a tad over optimised and it would have been canned in the recent Panda shenanigans.

My SEO Confession – I’ve never been to SMX London…

  4. I was using my laptop on the beach at the Miami winter music conference to build links, was eventually told by my boss and friends to stop – but I was getting a tan AND getting some great links!

  5. Missy says:

Haha, nice one Dom! I wish i had thought of that one! :)

  6. Zoey says:

I’ve spoofed SEO issues as agony aunt letters for use as training tools. Probably, I should be embarrassed by the level of enjoyment I’ve gained from inventing letters such as ‘I think my webpages are cheating on me with someone else’ (dupe content), ‘I can’t get it up’ (inadequate rank), ‘rejection and depression’ (unrequited link love), and my personal favourite, ‘I love my devs person, but (s)he doesn’t seem to know I exist’ (overcoming devs challenges to SEO). Like I said, I *should* be embarrassed but… heh… it works!

  7. I recently posted a job online advertising an SEO position and the fist application I received was from a “Sex Education Officer” lol.
